-=Ceres=- I’d fly away To a higher place To say words I r/e/s/i/s/t --- Far way...far away...faw away. Across the snow at a blinding speed, cream colored paws pushing snow behind them in blinding cascades. an occasional tear fell and froze insignificantly to the cold snow. Escape. Must escape, but what was escape? Now? Why now? So many thoughts filled the head of the young mother to be. Ardent, would he kill them? Would they be worthy? Shika, would he protect them? Shurikan...where are you? The pups! My babies, my blood. his blood. a snarl came form the youmng fems throat. And his blood....Shika's. a sigh escaped her lips. But why? Why now? Could not the midnight sky...have been their cradle?
Breathing heavily, the golden vix collapsed. She could run no further. Her leg stung, not completely healed, for it had been broken. Still, she struggled to her feet, shaking she continued to walk. "Go...Ceres. Please. For them." she whispered, and despite all odds her pace quickened slightly. The farther way the more time she had. to think...top hope, to pray. to wait. Nightfall...she needed nightfall.
After another hundred yards or so the fem grew weak, to fiant to continue. She stumbled and the world rocked and spun around her. dizzily she fell quietly into the snow. "Ceres..the pups. For them, continue. To Essence...to Shurikan..." she mumbled, not even knowing herself what all she was saying. Where was Ardent? Was he close behind? mere feet, watching her stumble. Laughing. Laughing, taunting. his haunting voice she couldn't escape. They were coming, but would he keep them. "Mercy....mercy..." she whispered. She knew she had to stop. She needed the rest of her strength so that they could live. 'please my darlings. Live...' she whispered inside herself, and she focused everything she had on bringing them into this world safely. Silent tears of joy and hate would be the witnesses of blessing form the blood of sorrow.

Ardent had been watching the female from many perspectives. For the last week he had watched her knowing that soon the pups would come. Something was different about her this day and Ardent was determined to find out. Silver optics trail the female as she left the cave. After he was sure she would not hear him he followed. He did not have to see her to know where she was, he tracked her by smell and by sound.
For a wild one she made mroe noise then he would have thought possible but he pushed that thought to the back of his mind. The black wolf stoped when he heard a thump, knowing it was the female falling down. He moved to where he could see her clearly and a gleam showed in his eyes. The puppies where coming.
The stud smirked and watched, waiting for the pups. he hoped he would have at least one son born. If he had females he was not certian what he would do. Would he kill them or keep them for fun? Better yet, turn one into himself. A smirked appeared agian before he settled himself as silently as possible and waited.

-=Ceres=- I’d fly away To a higher place To say words I r/e/s/i/s/t --- Not far enough. she could sense him, smell him, feel him. His cold presence hovered over her as a mist. The sand-shaded vix raised her head as best she could, trying to glance aobut and locate him. Her head fell, she was unable to find him. she had to focus on the pups. She tried her hardest, and soon enough, one was born. A precious spirit enetered the world, and the gentle mother hastily scooped the frail little female to her. the tiny little thing was very sick, and although first born, obviously the runt. she held it close to her, fearing that Ardent would harm it. No, that wouldn't happen. She would do anything to protect her.
She lifted her head with this sghort break. Another was coming soon, but she could breathe and speak. "Ardent...come near. They are yours also." she said, more inviting to him than would seem fair. Ah, but she wanted Shika to see them also, though this was hidden. She didn't know if Shika could see through Ardent's eyes, but this thought would have to wait. Another one was coming. Soon a young male, healthy and strong was held near to her beneath her neck, resting gently. This one was strong and safe from Ardent's lack of mercy. She glanced up, knowing another would come soon, but she knew this break would be longer than the first. She gazed upon her master with all the respect she could gather. If she ever needed to earn his sympathies, now of all times was it. "I beg you, My Lord, spare them. I'll raise them in your way, and I will do your will with no trouble to you. I will...I. Name it and it will be done for you..." she pleaded pitifully. She realized now that all the pride and revenge in the world could never overpower the love of a mother.

Ardent listened to the female speak. He knew sometimes he could not hide because he did have a pressence about it.So when she called he went ahead and came out. Little did he know what she wanted and who was also watching them. That of course would be Shi'ka though the other kepted his pressence unkown to Ardent.
The Black demon moved out of the shadows and watched the female as she gave birth. His eyes narrowed at the weak one but he just watched as the others came. He rose a brow at the two tailed one but was not certian what to think.
His optics take in teh feamale as she speaks. "Maybe. We will see." He was not all cold-blooded, though he did prefer killing the weaker ones. But if he kept this weakling alive, maybe he could keep the mother in line.

Ceres's ocean eyes turned to him as he came from the shadows. Her head was still spinning. She watched him as he looked odwn digustedly at the smallest of them. She hoped to the heaven's he would spare her as she had asked him. Her heart sank, and her eyes grew faded. Her only hope was that her good friend, Shika was watching.
As she asked him to spare them, he looked down at her. 'Maybe. We will see." her heart jumped. It was a maybe, and she was happy. She didn't want to push it, but should she thank him? She was so confused at what to do. Ceres smiled gently and nodded to Ardent, looking into his cold silver eyes, her own green ones showing him her gratitude for his simple maybe. "Yes My lord..." she whispered, not ever knowing when it would be right for her to call him Ardent. Maybe soon, maybe never, she would have to wait and see.
