His own breathing was slightly wracked, making his body quiver in unnatural spasms. It wasn't for his sake; he was worried over her, and this very dramatic reaction she just had. Guilt flooded through his veins, making him slightly sick. He had caused her pain, it just wasn't acceptable.
Though, how could he already feel like this. .? He had just met her. No other female had ever struck him like this. Like. . Rock bottom. He was trapped. No way could he be in. . No. No. No. He couldn't think that word. It was so strong. . So true? Couldn't be. Not at a time like this. Hell wasn't supposed to be like. . Like this. Unless something bad was coming up next. .
"Are you in any condition to hunt. . .?"
Looking at her now; in this disasterous emotional state; he wasn't exactly positive. His own body was starving. Starving for both nutrition, and nurturing. Right here was one, and yet, he didn't really feel the need to pursue the other.
He rose his head and nibbed gently along the edges of her jaws. His eyes returned into a strangely, uncharacteristically warm, pleasing gaze. The also looked slightly lust filled, lust for Whisper. He wanted her in his vain possession. Though, not only would it be unfair, it would be slightly rude.

There's a w.h.i.s.p.e.r. on the night ~w~i~n~d~ there's a s*t*a*r agleam to g/u/i/d/e us, And the Wild is c.a/l.l/i.n/g, .xcallingx. . . . let us go
Whisper cringed when she felt his quivering. it saddened her and sent a sting of guilt straighto her heart. She pulled slowly for, him to look at him, making sure he was alright. her ears fell and she whined beofre licking him, the last as her sobs ceasing, and her breathing returning to normal. She sat again, facing him, nose mere centimeters from his. She looked into his eyes again, she couldn't help it. She just wanted to sit there forever and gaze at him. She sighed, wanting so badly to just ask him now. 'I want obe with you, bear your young...smile upon the children of your body...' but nothing came to her. If she spoke now he would think her insane, and then what hope would there be for them? she lowered her head and looked away.
Soon she heard him speak. She lifted her head and her ears oerked, head tilted with curiosity. Another lsight breeze came, chilling her cheeks, assisted by the salty tears still left there. It was a strange question, but a welcome one. A change of mind, subject and action would be quite good for her now. She stood and nodded. "I...am fine. i am also hungry" She lied with a small smile. She wasn't hungry, but if he then she would follow. She glanced once more into his eyes, seeing a look she couldn't quite make out. it was soft and warm, but hinted of something else as well. for a moment a surge of warmth coursed thorugh her, her instinct knowing that look and wanting him to act on it. Her body responded with its own desries, but she wouldn't act on them now, due to her heart. soon, though. Very soon. She smiled at him and pranced off to find prey.

Thantos longed to reach out and embrace Whisper, but already, she was gone into the shadows of the trees. He waited longer, taking in his surrounds. Though, like an A.D.D. diagonse, he could not focus at all. He kept having feelings. Hot flashes originating from the tips of his fur, pricks in his muscles similar to anxiety. . .
. . . A steadily growing obsession. . .
He shook his head, shaking all threads of distraction away from his female starved mind. So long had he been isolated. He wasn't even sure if this was life or death. . He had to just make sure he hadn't drifted away again. . .
His teeth sliced long his forepaw, splattering freshly slain crimson on the velvitly snow. Pain rummaged over the newly torn nerves, and each harsh wind tore at the edges of the exposed flesh. The gash was deep; deeped than he expected. Though, unlike a sensible dog, he just let it bleed, not caring whether it got infected or not. Nor did he bother covering the stain.
Turning around, he raced into the coverage of the trees, lost in thought and emotional distruction.

Swiftly the golden vix padded through the trees. Her graceful bodice dodged branches and twigs, feet scurrying here and there to avoid sound. She had caught the scent of an injured deer, another plus: It was old. Her body danced and her eyes glanced constantly ahead of her to the ground, trying to avoid any obstacles. The occasional dry leaf of autumn crunched beneath her, for she'd already reached the forests, leaving Silent Reverie and the glaciers behind her. She glanced behind her ready to see the welcome figure of Thantos. Not yet. When he arrived she was sure they could take down the deer. Then he could be comforted by good food. Maybe it would clear her mind as well. she sighed, hoping she hadn't hurt him. she was consumed by her selfish wishes. she hadn't thought of him...at all. she shook her head, wanting the thoughts to fly away from her. he would forgive her, wouldn't he?
The dove slowed her pace, wanting him to catch up. She'd run ahead of him so quickly...she glanced behind her and smiled at his form. She'd heard him coming. It was only a quick glance and a smile, and she failed to see or smell his injured leg. Was she blind? Or maybe her heart didn't want her to realize...by the scent on the wind, the deer had fallen. It was getting closer faster. Just their luck the fem thought with a flick of her tail. She looked back to him wanting to share in this news, but she then saw his injury. "Thantos..." she whispered, eyes widening.”Your leg is injured." she said, whisper slightly rushed and frantic. "Are you alright?" she asked, fighting back the urge to shout. He deserved good food, and if she yelled it would surely gather its strength and run. Though, he also deserved her full attention. She waited for him to speak, not knowing exactly what to do.

Thantos padded forewards eagerly, seeking along Whisper's trail. He did not pay attention to the paining strain he was forcing on his injured leg. It was seeming to widen with each gait. Either way, he had done it so many times, it wasn't a concern anymore.
Her honey slick voice echoed like a lovely melody in his ears. Drool, followed by a tongue lasped out of his jawline, and slid off the side of his head. Already he was picking up speed and becoming a phantom in the wind.
"I . . . er. . .um. . . fell on a rock. . . It's nothing serious . . . Just focus on the hunt, I'll be okay. . ."
The words from his mouth were dragged out, and slightly mumbled. It was all a lie, but there was no need to fully confess. No reason to make a fuss over nothing serious anyways. Unless she considered blood something to ruffle your feathers towards.
He broke off at a right angle, aiming to appear from behind the deer. The scent had just caught his attention, for most of his mind was all on her. The beauty. The angel. He noted at her extraordinary hunting skills, as a giant plus.

Whisper's eyes gleamed wtih doubt as he spoke, her eyes once again wandering to his injury. At this sight of blood she shivered and turned her gaze away. She half-heartedly turned away and forced herself to believe him. He wouldn't lie to her, would he? "Alright, bu be careful..." she whispered as he walked away. She shook her head again and focused on the hunt like he'd said. If she worried too much over him then they would not eat tonight. Still...was he really alright?
She lifted her head with a sigh and started back at an unforseen surprise. There in front of her was the injured deer. She crouched down low and slowed her breathing. She scanned the forest for Thantos while inching forward toward the injured old stag. She waited a few moments, estimating how long it would be before Thantos would be ready. She didn't see him but guessed that if she attacked now he would immidiately catch on and attack as well. She lunged and tried to take hold at the neck, but she missed, tumbling to her fortune beneath the creature. This knocked it off blalance and it gave her a split second to attack again. She did so, latching on to it's shoulder, not a good point, but fine enough. It sounded with pain, and she kept her hold. She figured she had about 20 seconds with its thrashing to keep hold. Thantos would have to hurry.

Shadows flashed by, blending in with the many dark greens. Snow splattered with crimson liquid behind him. The same snow was again churned beneath his paws, and splashed behind him in a great, cascading wave. It bit at his paws viciously, the cold surged into his coursing flesh with a lightning speed. The pain grew tremedously, up until the point where ever tempo of his paws slashed his nerves like icey daggers.
The struggle between Whisper and the stag grew ever more obvious as the struggle battled out on the ground. He needed to hurry. For if not, she could get harmed. . Though would he really care?
A dark, unseen, ebony pain raced too his eyes. They clouded in the disbelief of what he had just thought. Thantos would die for this truely wonderous female. In fact, more than that, he would bludge past all others, kill his own blood, just to save her.
Another thought on his own blood. A smile blessed his face, and he was lost into the depths of an unlikely dream. Pups. Whisper's pups. Their pups. A dream, never to be played out on a screen, but only in those of private minds. How much he desired it. How much he deeply craved it. In fact, he would force it upon her. At least, if he wasn't such a d**n cripple.
Tension wracked his masculine body when that word surged into every thought, every phrase of every existence. He was labeled. Cripple. That's what he was. Chosen. Destined. Destined to die in a world of solitude where he belonged. One of those sparse few who made it that far, surviving off of what scraps were left in a life. His muscles curved into hostile edges, and his teeth fastened into a dangerous snarl.
Turning around the last bend of pines, his last looming obsticle to get to his true love. Thantos loped at full speed to the stag. Now, it was the only thing between him and true happiness. A path worth trailing.
His gleaming muscles lapped over each other, curling his body into an unsprang coil. Rage caused his body to quiver nearly violently. Both of his eyes rotated in their sockets, growing wider and wider as his eyelids uncurled over more. A strange, murderous gleam sprang in his eyes. Blood swam around in his scarlet optic, and ice shattered and cracked in his crystal-clean gaze.
Suddenly, as if a gun had fired and startled him to death, he sprang. In the blink of an eye he was snarling, suddenly starving for blood. Not only that, for attention. For a female. Sooner or later. . He would lose control, just as most males, and take her. The only difference was his self-will, and mellowness towards this particular effete creature. His soul mate, his future child-barer.
Thantos had not yet relized how absolute this was.
He relased his fangs upon the stag's throat. Garnet vital fluids rained upon his champage dyed pelt. A high-powered blood lust came over him, a rushing tidal wave rushing under his limbs and rushing him out to sea. Blood-curtling screams were the last of the stag's words, and yet in the frenzy that overcame him, all he could do was toss his head, flinging the deer's neck across the bloodshed silvery snow.
He fought for complete control. Breaking out of the trance, he finally, after the head was severed, he backed down. His eyes widened in suprise. He could of lost it. Whisper could've been next. She could've been hurt.
Thantos crumpled into the ground, swimming in a deep pain as his own wounds continued to bleed, turning the whole scene into a strawberry field. Slowly he curled up, lost for apologies, lost for all feeling. A giant bolt stabbed his heart, rolling his body into anguish. Silently he wept, blocking out his surroundings.
"It. . It always happens. . Whisper. . I'm too dangerous. That could've been you. . I've lost humanity for too long. . . I'm sorry. . . If it's for the best of your sake. . I'll leave. . . And destroy the demon from my soul . . . I'll leave in a week. . . "
His last vow was rushed and mumbled, hardly believed by even himself. He felt so greedy, allowing their relationship to grow, perhaps bloom, and then rip it from their hearts.
"I'm doing this. . Because. . . Whisper. . . I. Love. You."

There's a w.h.i.s.p.e.r. on the night ~w~i~n~d~ there's a s*t*a*r agleam to g/u/i/d/e us, And the Wild is c.a/l.l/i.n/g, .xcallingx. . . . let us go Everything seemed to slow down as her teeth gripped weakly at the stag's shoulder. Her eyes glanced around her but it seemed like the world was thrashing and she was merely standing still. This feeling made her sick and gave her an eerie haunting feeling. With a gasp she closed her eyes, still holding on. By her judgment it had been hours. Where was he?
With her eyes closed the vixen could feel every movement of the injured creature, but it was as if her body had doubled or tripled it endurance. All its thrashings seemed only as a gentle autumn breeze, for her mind and heart were elsewhere. This caused all her physical strength to focus on the hunt, even though every other part of her was thinking of him. He was sad and so quiet, yet his warmth was like that of a thousand suns. His presence brought her joy and just thoughts of him fulfilled her...or did they? She shamed herself again. 'It's not the time! Not the time...not...the...time.' her mind echoed in protest. Still, though, a whisper of heart told her it was the time. She loved him, wanted to be with him. Puppies. She wanted them...with him. Their puppies, she wished for it more than anything on earth. A creature so small and delicate to call their own, a blessing that had come from the fitting together of their bodies, their hearts...their spirits. Something that was not only theirs, but them. It would be them, look like them. How the young fem dreamt of it. But if her were to leave?
This thought was unwelcome but it came to her naturally. He had said that he would leave earlier, and so her dreams were shattered. Her hopes seemed to crash like thousands of pains of glass thrown against a sharp sword. Her heart bled intensely, taking her beautiful reverie with it. If he was gone then there would be no blessings, no puppies...no them. The fem groaned with an emotion close to frustration, coupled with fear. She bit down harder on the creature, letting it be the outlet for her feelings.
Just as her dreams ceased and she concentrated once more on the task at hand, Thantos attacked. Having been in her own thoughts it came as a surprise. The dove fell, tumbling a good ways away. She whined as she came into contact with a tree. She stood whimpering, but more startled than injured. Brown pools turned to see the golden male, his maw dripping with blood and the deer stripped beyond recognition. She stepped back with a tilt of her head, then ran quickly to him. Was he alright? What had happened in those few seconds of her tumble? As soon as she reached him she went to nuzzle him, but he began to speak. The fem. listened and with each word he tore a piece of her heart. With each time she looked at him a piece of her spirit was taken with the soft breeze, though to her it was no longer soft. It was harsh, bitter and malignant. It was sent to taunt her, forever to whisper to her all of her losses. He was everything to her, and she was to only have a week? Something in her knew. Knew that it would be better for her pitiful shattered heart if he were to never speak another word to her, but to turn without a glance and leave now, and never look back. The ess was greedy, however, and longed for every second he could spare for her. One week would never be enough.
The sensitive fem once more began to weep, only harder. For now, it seemed more sure and more final. It was not that he might be leaving...he was. It was finished, done, there was no second chance, no other path...he would be gone. She stepped toward him and she collapsed pathetically into a sitting position. She wanted to scream, to howl her agony and let the whole world know. She wished for all creatures of the world to send their sympathy...for in this moment she would take it all. "Thantos...please. If I were to die, it would be my fate, and I would rather die a horrid death at your hands than to be taken away peaceful whilst I sleep. The sweetest dreams could be my guides, but I would rather stare into your eyes as I took my last breath, than anything in the world. Still...because I...love you as well, I would rather you do as you would please than to ever satisfy my selfish wishes. I will miss you Thantos, and I will always remember you. Every star in the night sky will be as your touch, as your eye of crystal shades. You are unique in all the world, and take my heart with you when you leave here, for to me it is no use. I can and will not give it to another...I wish only for you to keep it as a simple memory. For it would be of more use to you as a memory than it would be to me as a weight..." she said sorrowfully. She looked into his eyes, but forced herself to stay away. To nuzzle or lick him or show him affection now would merely rip their hearts to shreds and hers was already shattered.
